THE SURF REPORT: DOLLHOUSE finale, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES returns, Jon Hamm on SNL, The Grammys–1/29/10

BURN NOTICE: In this week’s episode, Jeffrey Donovan was doing either his best Batman voice or a fantabulous Clint Eastwood with his squinty eyes and raspy voice.  He also sported a black suit with a red shirt & tie combo.  Very mobster/criminal kingpin look.

WHITE COLLAR: Finally, an episode that had great banter between Neal and Peter and more Moz!  Willie Garson is so good in the role and I’m glad they’re finding more ways to include him in the stories. I also like the lighter touch in Neal and Peter’s scenes; they don’t need to have Peter constantly reminding Neal that he can send him back to jail.  They DO need to keep finding new ways for Neal to use his crime skills to the FBI’s benefit.  That’s where the real fun lies.

BETTER OFF TED: This week’s episode was laugh out loud funny – again.  Titled “Mess of a Salesman” Eddie McClintock guested as Ted’s ne’er-do-well brother Billy.  At the office, Ted was the fixer, trying to figure out why Phil & Lem had suddenly gone a little wild, no longer following orders and prone to answering back “Deal with it!” only to find it was because of what Billy said to them.  The situation culminated in a lot of cadavers stacking up and Ted trying to figure out a way to get rid of them.

Meanwhile, Linda and Veronica teamed to raise money for a girls charity and their good cop (Linda)/bad cop (Veronica) routine was priceless.  I lost count of all the great lines but the one that’s lasted til today is “100 & crazy percent.” I also loved when the gals got into trouble by taking the money they raised and giving it directly to the girls and then Ted had to step in and fix things there.  The “Boop! Ding!” scene had me on the floor as Linda and Veronica tried to explain how they got themselves into the mess.  Nice  quick guest shot by Rick Hoffman as the head of the charity too.  If you missed it, the episode is online at:
