I spaced yesterday and thought THE HILLS and THE CITY were on. Imagine my disappointment when I got home to find they were not and THEN I remembered both shows air Tuesday night, not Monday. Sweeps are getting to me.
CHUCK: Another completely charming episode that had Chuck and Sarah learning how to work as a couple from a veteran CIA couple played by Fred Willard and Swoosie Kurtz. Although I think my vote for funniest couple goes to John Casey and Morgan; they are the new Odd Couple and I couldn’t stop grinning at Casey putting Morgan through training paces. I especially loved when Morgan fired the gun and the blowback sent him flying backward.
24: Well! Any disappointment I felt after last week’s episode vanished after last night’s rock-em, sock-em, action-packed episode. Jack was at his tough, take-no-s–t best and that’s when I remember why I love this show. I hesitate to discuss it in more detail in case you haven’t seen it yet. If you’re a 24 fan, be sure to watch this episode – a lotta s–t went down and you gotta see it to believe it.
COMMUNITY: I finally watched last week’s episode “The Art of Discourse” and smiled big at another one of their loving film homages, this time to ANIMAL HOUSE. I think the show also deserves best use of a guest star for Lisa Rinna as the hot soccer mom of the nasty high school boy. It still seems like the character of Pierce has been played out and I’m thinking the show would be every bit as good without him.
